Imagine la Chine
Height miniatures, collages on hand made paper of textile and prints fragments. They are a recall of a trip to China where traces of the ancients are visible in the big towns and remote countries. The structures and color of the temples and imperial residences, found objects express my pleasure to an unknown country.
Height framed pieces of 10" x 10" inches - collages mounted on acid-free paper, presented at the followwing exhibit:

Nuages sur papiers
Height framed collages of numerical prints. They are images of August clouds captured in "les Îles-de-la-Madeleine" where I spend the summer every year. I take views of small bays from the top of mounds in Havre-aux-Maisons.
Back in my studio , I spent a few months printing on cotton paper, cutting shapes and assembling papers alternated with the images of the clouds. These collages express heavy or sunny weather where the wind is always strong.
The digital process follows my past experiences of lithography and silkscreen.

The letter M
TITLE : «D'une mer à l'autre»
«La mer d’ici pis la mer d’en dehors ça se pognait ensemble, la mer s’attrapait d’un bout à l’autre»
(Martinet et Turbide 1987)
It means that by a heavy storm, the sea from one side
crosses the island to melt with the giant waves of the other side.

Dialogue
It is the theme DIALOGUE that I wanted to appropriate after many meetings and emails with artists from two artist-run centers, Diagonale in Montréal and Grave in Victoriaville.
I choose to isolate the words written among us by copying them with assortiment of fonts avaible on my MINIMAC. They are printed on heavy sheets of cotton paper which I alternate with blue or white bagckground, overlapped with onion paper to construct checker boards.
